SEARCA, UPLB
CDM Retreat

Oh LORD God of heaven and earth, our Loving Father, through Jesus, my personal LORD and Savior, I was restored to a dynamic and intimate relationship with You.
You have given me the Bible so I can understand Your plans and purposes for mankind.
And then, You have given me Your Holy Spirit so that I can be more intimate with you.
My desire is to be a man full of faith in You, through intimacy with the Lord Jesus.
I want to gain understanding about your plans for Israel since this very small country now is being negatively portrayed by the Arab world through the western media during the Gaza Strip war on terror.
So help me. Give me clarity of mind.
Teach me also so I can teach others so they would be delivered from the deceptions of Satan, who has been deceiving the world:
Rev 12:7 War broke out in Heaven. Michael and his Angels fought the Dragon. The Dragon and his Angels fought back, Rev 12:8 but were no match for Michael. They were cleared out of Heaven, not a sign of them left. Rev 12:9 The great Dragon--ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray--thrown out, and all his Angels thrown out with him, thrown down to earth.
In Your Most Precious Holy Name, the Name of Jesus Your Son I pray this. AMEN

Kim

Gen12:1-4a
Gen 12:1 Now the LORD said to Avram, "Get out of your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house, to the land that I will show you. Gen 12:2 I will make of you a great nation. I will bless you and make your name great. You will be a blessing.Gen 12:3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you. In you will all of the families of the earth be blessed." Gen 12:4 So Avram went, as the LORD had spoken to him. Lot went with him. Avram was seventy-five years old when he departed out of Charan.

Who spoke to Avram? The LORD [From H1961; (the) self Existent or eternal; Jehovah, Jewish national name of God: - Jehovah, the Lord.]
What was His instructions to Avram?
Get out of your country, (From Iraq)
and from your relatives,
and from your father's house,
to the land that I will show you.
What were His promises?
Gen 12:2
I will make of you a great nation.
I will bless you and make your name great.
You will be a blessing.
Gen 12:3
I will bless those who bless you,
and I will curse him who curses you.
In you will all of the families of the earth be blessed."

Gen 12:6 Avram passed through the land to the place of Shekhem, to the oak of Moreh. The Kena`ani was then in the land.

Observation: The LORD appeared to Avram, after mentioning in the preceding verse that the Kena`ani was then in the land. He said “I will give this land to your seed.”
WHO GAVE THIS PROMISE TO AVRAM? The LORD.
In response, Avram built an altar. In v8 when he left from there to the mountain on the east of Beit-El, he again built an alter to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.

Gen 12:7 The LORD appeared to Avram and said, "I will give this land to your seed." He built an altar there to the LORD, who appeared to him. Gen 12:8 He left from there to the mountain on the east of Beit-El, and pitched his tent, having Beit-El on the west, and `Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD. Gen 12:9 Avram traveled, going on still toward the South.

In Gen13:1-4 Avram left Egypt and has become rich in livestock, in silver and in gold, and stopped at the place between Beit-El and Ai where he build an alter to the LORD. There he called again on the name of the LORD.

What is significant on calling on the Name of the LORD?
What does it mean to call on the name of the Lord? To call upon the Lord is to enjoy the rich presence of His divine Person. Both our initial contact as well as our continuing with Him depend in large part on this simple opening and calling. Each time we call upon the Lord’s name, He comes to us and we receive Him in a fresh, new way. Our experience of His presence is renewed and enhanced when we audibly call His name.
