Prayer Based from Ephesians 2:1-8

Eph 2:1-8 (The Message)
It wasn't so long ago that you were mired in that old stagnant life of sin. 2 You let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. 3 We all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat. It's a wonder God didn't lose his temper and do away with the whole lot of us. 4 Instead, immense in mercy and with an incredible love, 5 he embraced us. He took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. He did all this on his own, with no help from us! 6 Then he picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. 7 Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. 8 Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish!

Oh God, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as I read these verses, I remember both the Palestinians now and the Jews. Oh my heart aches for both of them, and even the Arab Muslims who are full of hatred against the Jews and even those in the 1st world countries who have an anti-Zionist sentiments. Since they havent placed their complete trust in, and dependence upon Jesus the Risen Lord, they are mired in that old stagnant life of sin. They let the world, which doesn't know the first thing about living, tell them how to live. They filled their lungs with polluted unbelief, and then exhaled disobedience. They are hell-bent in killing and exterminating one another. In the process, the innocents, the peace-loving fathers, mothers and children and young men and women are caught in the cross-fire.
They are just like us before we came to know you,or before you came and revealed yourself to us...we all did it, all of us doing what we felt like doing, when we felt like doing it, all of us in the same boat.
Yet you have been so merciful to us.
Immense in mercy and with an incredible love, you embraced us. You took our sin-dead lives and made us alive in Christ. You did all this on your own, with no help from us! 6 Then you picked us up and set us down in highest heaven in company with Jesus, our Messiah. 7 Now You have us where you wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus.
Israel is your bride.
But Oh she doesnt recognize you yet as her groom in waiting. Yet you are full of hope, knowing that one day, as Your Body, the Church reaches its completeness, she will come to her senses, as she expresses her full dependence on you. Then you will rush to her side, to save her from all her enemies.
But today, like what she did before, she is putting her trust in America and her other allies, who will one day turn their backs on her. When all her lovers are gone, she will come to her senses and rush back to you.

Oh LORD God of heaven and earth, since saving us is a deed you did on your own, without our help, we look up to you to reveal your saving power in this ever-increasing drama of tension, when the Light will explode in pitch darkness, and all creation will see the Glory of God. Amen!
